(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On July 19, 2014, just before midnight, Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program on Highway 40 at Colborne Street, when a Pontiac Grand Am entered and stopped for the officers.
Officers spoke with the driver of the vehicle. Subsequent OPP investigation resulted in the officers seizing a small amount of suspected marihuana.
The 24 year old male driver, from London, has been charged with Possession of Marihuana, under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
He is scheduled to appear in a Chatham court on August 28, 2014, to answer to the charge.
