(Ottawa, ON) -The Ottawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is investigating incidents of wire theft from highway lights.
In the last few months, there have been 4 reported thefts of copper wire from light posts along Ottawa Highways. What can appear as lights not being turned on can possibly mean a theft is or has occurred.
The OPP is seeking any information regarding these thefts. Police are also asking for motorist to be observant of any suspicious activity near highway lights and to report lights that are not turned on.
