(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – On Saturday, November 15, 2014 the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) teamed up with the Valu Mart grocery store in Bobcaygeon to collect donations for the local food bank.
The OPP would like to thank the community for their generous support of this important event. The police cruiser was “crammed†seven times and donations exceeded $500.
All of the donations were taken to the Bobcaygeon Helps food bank. “This is an unbelievable demonstration of community support, much needed support, and I just can’t say enough about the generosity we experienced during the eventâ€Â, stated P/C Carrie Lanning, community services officer.
The OPP will be at the Sobey’s grocery store in Fenelon Falls for a Cram the Cruiser event on Saturday, December 6, 2014.
