OPP Respond To Motor Vehicle Collision

(THUNDER BAY, ON) On Tuesday, September 10 2013 at approximately 8:15 am, officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a multi vehicle collision on Highway 11/17, north of Oliver Road.

It was initially reported that five vehicles were involved in the collision but upon officers’ arrival, only one vehicle remained at the scene.

The driver of a Hyundai Accent was south bound on Highway 11/17 when traffic started to slow down for the traffic signal. The driver of the Hyundai Accent struck a Hyundai Tucson that was stopped in front of her.

The driver of the Accent remained at the scene and did not report any injuries. The vehicle sustained heavy front end damage. The driver of the Tucson did leave the scene, but has since contacted police to report the collision.

A 22 year old female from Thunder Bay was charged with Follow Too Close contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
