OPP REMIND RESIDENTS TO CHECK THEIR VEHICLE FOR CURRENT VALIDATION STICKERS AFTER THEFT REPORTED

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment is investigating a theft from an Old Brock Street, Charlotteville, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Saturday, September 6, 2014 in the early morning hours, an unknown suspect attended the address and removed the validation sticker from the plate of a parked motor vehicle.

Here are some tips to prevent you from becoming a victim:

Completely clean off old stickers, wash the sticker area and then apply the new one making sure that it is secured to the licence plate.
Take a sharp knife or something similar and score lines vertically and horizontally across the sticker. This guarantees that it can only be removed in small pieces.

The OPP want to remind all community residents that if they observe any suspicious activity to please contact the police immediately.
