(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – Officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) remain on scene of a residential fire on Mark Road.
On March 10, 2014 at approximately 7:50 a.m. an OPP officer was on patrol when smoke was observed, causing the officer concerns regarding the origins of the smoke. The officer discovered that a single residential home was on fire.
Initial investigation has indicated that there is one person unaccounted for.
The Fire Marshal was contacted and attended the scene. The investigation is continuing.
