OPP RECOVER STOLEN VEHICLE

(TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHGATE, ON) – On Friday, March 13, 2014, at approximately 11:35 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an abandoned vehicle on Southgate Road 4 between Southgate Sideroad 41 and Southgate Sideroad 47. The vehicle had its hazard lights on and was left on the travelled portion of the road.

Police attended and noticed that the interior of the truck was damaged and that the plates did not match the vehicle description. A search of the vehicle registration number revealed that the red, 2007 Dodge pick-truck had been reported stolen by Waterloo Regional Police Service.

The vehicle was seized. The investigation continues.
