(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – Officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently on scene of a residential fire.
This morning, at approximately 7:50 a.m. an OPP officer was on patrol when smoke was observed, causing the officer concerns regarding the cause of the smoke. The officer discovered that a single residential home was on fire.
The fire department is currently on scene at the residence which is located on Mark Road. At this time it is unknown if anyone was in the residence when the fire initiated.
