(SMITHS FALLS, ON) – On September 10, 2015, officers of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Crime Unit, under the direction of OPP Detective Inspector Paul Yelle, Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), commenced an investigation into threats made against an OPP officer and the member’s family.
On November 5, 2015, investigators charged Trevor COOPER, 51 of Griffith, ON with:
1. Counsel to Commit Murder
2. Intimidation of a Justice System Participant
He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Ottawa, on November 16, 2015. The accused is presently in custody on an unrelated charge.
