(WASAGA BEACH, ON) – On May 13, 2012, at around 2:12 a.m., the Huronia West Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Wasaga Beach Fire responded to a residential fire on Oxbow Park Drive. At the time, the Office of the Fire Marshal was called in to assist with the investigation. There were no injuries and the cause of the fire was undetermined.
As a result of further investigation into this matter, 24 year old Charles FERNANDES of Wasaga Beach has been charged with arson under the Criminal Code of Canada.
He will appear in a Barrie Provincial Court at a later time to speak to the charge.
