OPP LAY SEVERAL CHARGES FROM VEHICLE ROLL OVER ON HWY124

(WHITESTONE TWP, ON) – On Sunday November 10, 2013 at 3:42 p.m. a male was driving on Highway 124 near Lorimer Lake Road in Whitestone Township when he rolled his vehicle into the ditch.

The West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Whitestone Township Fire Department and Emergency Management Services (EMS) responded. The male was extricated from the vehicle and transported to the West Parry Sound Health Centre with non-life threatening injuries.

David LOUCKS, 48 years of age from Georgian Bay Township, was charged with the following:

– Driving while the ability is impaired, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)

– Driving with more than 80 mg of alcohol in 100 mL of blood, contrary to the CCC

– Assault with intent to resist arrest, contrary to the CCC

– Driver – Fail to properly wear seatbelt, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Parry Sound on November 28, 2013 to answer to his charges.
