OPP LAY OFF ROAD VEHICLE CHARGES

(SOUTH PORCUPINE) – The South Porcupine Ontario Provincial Police has charged

a local man with a number of traffic offences stemming from a traffic stop on

September 17th , 2013, on Pine Street South, south of Timmins.

An OPP officer had occasion to locate and stop the operator of an off road vehicle that was allegedly speeding.

The vehicle’s driver was stopped and interviewed at the roadside.

Based on the investigative measures undertaken by the OPP officer,

Mark PELLERIN, 27, of Timmins, Ontario, has been charged with:

Driving While Under Suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

Operate Off Road Vehicle – No Insurance contrary to the Off Road Vehicle’s Act

Speeding contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.
