OPP INVESTIGATING THEFT OF GENERATOR

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment is reminding residents be vigilant after a theft was reported at a Haldimand Road 20, Haldimand County, Ontario address.

On Saturday, August 16, 2014, in the early morning hours, unknown suspects attended the address and removed a tow behind generator. The generator was being used to pump water from the culvert to allow for the installation of electrical cable.

The generator is described as a Wacker 2kw tow behind, with yellow Battlefield rental stickers located on all four sides.

The theft is estimated at approximately $15,000 dollars.

Police are continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are being asked to contact the Haldimand County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
