(Lansdowne,ON) – Ontario Provincial Police in Leeds and 1000 Islands Township have been experiencing an increase in reports of daylight break and enters.
The O.P.P are requesting the public’s assistance in locating the person(s) responsible.
The investigation has determined that the suspects have generally entered homes by forcing a rear door to the residence. Once inside, the suspects go through the home and are appearing to take mostly smaller items including, jewellery, cash and electronics.
One suspect has been described as a male 40 to 45 years old, with medium length dark hair. Another suspect has been described as 5’10â€Â, thin build, light brown or blonde hair.
Investigation has shown that the suspects will park their vehicle down the road from the homes and approach on foot. The O.P.P. has received various information regarding suspect vehicles.
O.P.P are asking if anyone should observe any suspicious persons, activity or vehicles attempt to take note of any licence plate numbers, vehicle make, model, colour or any other outstanding features or descriptors about the vehicle or person and contact their local police department or OPP at 1 888 310 1122.
