(HAWKESBURY, ON) – On February 6, 2014 at approximately 3:20pm, Hawkesbury officers of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a fatal crash on Hwy 417 near Hwy 34.
Preliminary investigation indicates that an eastbound passenger bus and an eastbound passenger car collided. The driver and only occupant of the passenger vehicle, 74-year-old Angelos NASTATOS of Rockland, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two (2) passengers from the coach bus, traveling from Ottawa to Montreal were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Hwy 417 at Hwy 34 remains closed for the investigation. Please follow detour routes.
