(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently on scene of a fatal motor vehicle collision.
On October 5, 2013 at approximately 11:23 a.m. a single vehicle collision occurred on Bury’s Green Road East of Kawartha Lakes Road 121, in the former Verulam Township, within the City of Kawartha Lakes. Bury’s Green Road is now closed between Kawartha Lakes Road 121 and Bulmer’s Road and is expected to remain closed for up to six hours.
Initial investigation indicated that the vehicle was west bound on Bury’s Green Road when it lost control and then rolled. The driver of the vehicle, a 55 year old male has died as a result of the accident. The only other occupant of the vehicle, an adult male passenger, has been air lifted to a Toronto hospital.
The OPP is utilizing the services of its Technical Collision Investigators (TCI).
