(COLLINGWOOD, ONTARIO) – Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently at a residence on Cranberry Quay in regards to a death investigation after a deceased person was located in the residence shortly after 10:00AM yesterday morning.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by Detectives from Collingwood and The Blue Mountains Detachment OPP Crime Unit under the direction of Acting Detective Inspector Jim Gorry of the Ontario Provincial Police Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB). The OPP Forensics Identification Services Unit (FISU) is also assisting.
A post mortem examination is being conducted at the Office of the Chief Coroner located in Toronto and further details will be released when they become available.
