(HALIBURTON, ON) – In the early morning hours of July 20, 2014, officers from the Haliburton Highlands detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a marine collision at the west shore of Kushog Lake, south of the Hwy 35 bridge at Ox Narrows, in the Township of Algonquin Highlands Ontario. The collision occurred at approximately 1:00 am. Three occupants were in the 16’ Chris Craft fibreglass bowrider vessel when it impacted the shoreline. The 57 year male driver from Toronto and his male and female passengers were transported to Minden Hospital and subsequently transferred to other hospitals in the Lindsay and Toronto areas for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The vessel sustained significant damage. Fog and thick mist covered the lake at the time of the collision. OPP are determining if alcohol was also a factor in the collision.
