(Lansdowne,ON) On the 23rd of September 2013 Ontario Provincial Police in Leeds and 1000 Islands Township were called to a break in on County Rd 2 just west of the village of Lansdowne.
O.P.P. attended the scene and learned that the homeowners left their residence around 10:00 am and returned several hours later to find their home had been broken into. Culprits entered the home by forcing a rear locked door.
Several items of jewellery were taken from the home.
O.P.P Forensic Identification Unit attended the scene and gathered evidence.
A white male between 40 to 45 years old, with medium length dark hair , driving a dark coloured older model sedan style car was seen at the residence around the time of the break in.
This is an ongoing investigation.
