(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is reminding residents to be as vigilant during the daytime hours as they are when the lights go out when it comes to protecting their homes.
The Norfolk County OPP Detachment is investigating a break and enter at a Head Street, Turkey Point, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Sunday, July 27, 2014 at approximately 8:45 a.m., police were contacted by a concerned homeowner after unknown suspects attempted to gain entry into two sheds located in the rear yard of the property.
Through investigation it has been determined that at approximately 1:45 a.m. on July 27, 2014 the owner of the residence heard several noises in the rear yard which woke them from their sleep. The resident immediately turned on an outside light causing the unknown suspects to flee from the area.
One of the sheds had been entered however nothing had been taken. The doors to the second shed were damaged by the unknown suspects in their attempt to gain entry.
The OPP is reminding all residents to contact the police immediately if they observe any suspicious activity around their property or their neighbour’s properties.
