OPP INVESTIGATING ATTEMPT THEFT OF VEHICLE

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is investigating an attempt theft of a vehicle from an Adams Avenue, Delhi, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Saturday, October 4, 2014 in the early morning hours, unknowns attend the address and proceeded to damage both locks on a parked pick-up truck located on the roadway. Once inside, unknowns caused significant damage to the steering column in an attempt to remove the vehicle however were unsuccessful. A wallet was also removed from the vehicle that contained personal and financial information.

The unknown suspects subsequently fled from the area after breaking the passenger side window.

The Norfolk County OPP Detachment is continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
