OPP INVESTIGATING AFTER MALE FLEES FROM TAXI

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is investigating an incident after being called to a Cedar Street, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Thursday February 6, 2014 at approximately 12:59 p.m., police were contacted by a concerned taxi driver after arriving in Norfolk County.

Through investigation it has been determined that an unknown male contacted a taxi company in the Hamilton, Ontario area and requested that he be taken to a Cedar Street address. Upon arrival at the address the unknown male exited the vehicle and failed to pay for the fare.

The male is being described as a white male, 6”0, long hair, wearing a black coat, black jeans and black boots.

The Norfolk County OPP Detachment is continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
