(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On the 8th of August 2013 at 4:29 a.m. the Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police were called to the 401 Highway for a report of a tractor-trailer rollover near Kenesserie Road.
Police investigation revealed that a tractor-trailer that was travelling eastbound on the 401, drove into the median, lost control and rolled. The rig that was loaded with 25000 lbs. of auto parts came to rest in the median, on its side, partially blocking the passing lane.
The driver, 48 year old Vasilije, JEFTIC from Windsor, Ontario was taken to hospital with minor injuries. He has been charged with Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act
The 401 Highway eastbound passing lane will remain closed while crews offload the tractor-trailer and clean up the collision scene.
