(City of Kawartha Lakes, ON) – On Wednesday February 5, at approximately 7:45 a.m., members of the Peterborough County OPP, City of Kawartha Lakes OPP Selwyn Fire Department and Peterborough Ambulance were called to investigate a serious motor vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 7 south of Fowlers Corners.
Investigation revealed that two motor vehicles had been involved in a collision on Highway 7. A south bound red Chevrolet being operated by a female driver had lost control and been struck by a north bound White Freightliner Truck.
The 29year old female resident of City of Kawartha Lakes died as a result of injuries received in the collision, and was pronounced at the scene by para-medics.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
