(HALIBURTON, ON) – On Tuesday January 14, 2014 at approximately 7:30 pm Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Officers from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment responded to a fight on Highland Street in the Municipality of Dysart et al, Ontario. Officers were called after a male party from Haliburton was jumped by two other males and they commenced to fight him. OPP located the two males responsible for the fight and arrested both. As a result, a 17 year old male from Haliburton was charged with Assault and Chace ENGLISH, age 21 also from Haliburton was charged with the following offences:
Assault
Theft Under $5000
Uttering Threats
Fail to Comply with Probation Order – 2 counts
The accused is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing on January 15, 2014 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay Ontario.
