OPP ARREST BREAK, ENTER AND THEFT SUSPECTS

(Oro-Medonte, ON) Barrie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a male and female and recovered stolen property in relation to several residential break and enters. On Friday, September 12th, 2014 at approximately 1:33 pm members of the Barrie Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report from the public that a male was breaking into a residence on Scarlett Line in Oro-Medonte Twp.

Police quickly attended the location and found that the suspect had fled. The suspect vehicle was observed traveling southbound on highway 400, after a short pursuit the parties were apprehended and arrested. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed jewellery and other household items.

The items were seized as possible stolen property and the investigation is continuing.
