(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) -The Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services (Ministry) will facilitate a presentation regarding the development of a provincial crime prevention strategy.
The City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP will assist the Ministry with the presentation which encourages community engagement and participation. The session is scheduled for Monday, October 7th, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the community room at the Fenelon Falls Community Centre which is located at 27 Veteran’s Way, Fenelon Falls, City of Kawartha Lakes.
The development of a provincial crime prevention strategy was divided into three different phases with the first step aimed at raising awareness and to promote the benefits of crime prevention. The second phase involves this Ministry led community engagement session which will look to obtain responses from the community on the engagement questions as well as serve to identify next steps.
The Ministry is hoping to have all facets of the community represented and encourage all to attend.
