In the afternoon hours of Thursday April 27, 2017, the Owen Sound Police Service executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a hotel room in the City of Owen Sound.
The Drugs & Intelligence Unit, with the assistance of the Criminal Investigations Branch and the Community Oriented Response and Enforcement Unit, arrested one person during the search. Police recovered Cocaine and Heroin as well as over $1000 in cash proceeds. The estimated street value of the seized controlled substances exceeds $16,000.
A 25 year old Toronto man faces 5 charges including possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of heroin for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime and failing to comply with probation. The male was held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for 28 April 2017.
