(Oxford County, ON) – A member of the Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has been issued a provincial offences notice following a collision on March 12, 2014 in Zorra Township at 8:06 a.m..
Investigation by OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators revealed that the officer was responding to a serious call on Road 88 and was unable to stop for oncoming traffic on Road 19. The fully marked cruiser struck the oncoming vehicle. Both drivers sustained minor injuries, treated at a local hospital and released. Damage to both vehicles was extensive.
As a result of the investigation, Sergeant Terry Mroz, a 31-year-member of the OPP has been issued a provincial offences notice for Fail to Yield to Traffic on Through Highway contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
