Barrie Police officers were dealing with an intoxicated male in the downtown core when the accused approached the officer and commenced to scream at the officer for failing to assist him relating to a different matter. The accused was advised several time to step aside or he would be arrested for obstructing the police officer. The accused continue to interfere and was arrested for obstruct. The male was cuffed and searched at which time the male was in possession of a small amount of marihuana. The 29 yr old Barrie man was processed and released with a future court date for obstructing a police officer and possession of a controlled substance
