On Sunday February 16th, Barrie Police spoke with a 22 year old Barrie resident and learned he was on a recognizance with specific conditions.
One of the conditions was to reside a specific address in the Burton Ave. area.
On Monday February 17th, Police attended this address for a compliance check and spoke with the tenants of the home.
Neither tenant had any idea of who the suspect male was, nor had he ever lived in their home.
In a coincidental turn of events, Police met the suspect male walking in the downtown core on Monday morning.
After again reassuring Police he did live on Burton Ave, he was arrested for Obstructing Police and breaching his Recognizance.
The now accused was transported to the Barrie Police Service and held for a bail hearing.
