Oakville Man Faces Impaired Driving Charge after Daylight Collision near School

On December, 6, 2016, Halton Regional Police Service officers responded to reports of a two vehicle collision in the area of Colonel William Parkway in Oakville. Upon arrival, it was learned that one of the vehicle’s involved had fled the scene.

Officers quickly identified a male suspect, located the vehicle a short distance away, and determined that he was heavily intoxicated. The driver was arrested for Impaired Driving and was transported to the Oakville police station for breath tests. These tests indicated that the driver’s Breath/Alcohol Concentration (BAC) was almost four times the legal limit.

Of particular concern is that this incident occurred in a heavily populated area
