(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – A 45-year-old female driver from North Huron has been charged with Impaired Driving following a single vehicle crash that occurred on January 9, 2016. At approximately 4:00 p.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Huron County EMS responded to the collision scene located on London Road between Hydro Line and Conservation Road. Upon arrival officers located a Chevrolet Monte Carlo about 10 feet off the road in the west ditch.
Fortunately for the driver she was not injured in the collision. During the course of the collision investigation the investigating officer determined the driver had consumed alcohol and was displaying several signs of impairment. As a result the driver was placed under arrest for Impaired Driving. She was transported to the Huron OPP Detachment where she provided two samples of her breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician. Both samples registered over the legal limit.
As a result, 45-year-old Terri HARNOCK from North Huron has been charged with Impaired Driving & Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. She has been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on February 8, 2016. She was served with a 90 day automatic driver’s licence suspension and her motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
