North Huron Woman Dies In Collision – Road Closed

(HURON TWP, ON) – On July 3, 2015 at 3:46 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle crash along Side road 30 in Huron Township. Officers attended with members of the Ripley-Huron Fire Department and Bruce County paramedics to find an Orange Pontiac G6 left the roadway and came to rest on its roof in a creek.

There were 3 occupants in the vehicle at the time. The rear seat passenger, a 53-year-old North Huron Township woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. Name is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

Members of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) and the Office of the Coroner are assisting the South Bruce OPP with this investigation.

Side road 30 has been closed at the scene of the crash for the protection of emergency responders. The cooperation of the public in avoiding the incident location is appreciated.
