Last night WFP was flooded with calls, messages and emails about North Huron and Morris-Turnberry amalgamating. This amalgamation deal was done behind the scenes, without Public or Press knowledge, input or scrutiny.
Apparently Morris-Turnberry looked at North Huron’s crumbling infrastructure, collapsing storm drains, leaky roofs, no infrastructure reserves, leaky dam, pot holes, and no minimum standards and was so impressed, they worked with the Old Boys Club behind the scenes so Morris-Turnberry taxpayers could suffer the same fate.
This morning we are reading reports that a trial 2 year deal was made behind the scenes between Morris-Turnberry and North Huron. This new “municipality” will share Public Works Services, Building Services, Drainage Services and Administration Services.
