NORTH DUNDAS THEFTS SOLVED/BOY REUNITED WITH STOLEN BIKE

(North Dundas) – On 11Dec13, at approximately 3:50pm, Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police (SD&G OPP) Street Crimes officers responded to a report of a stolen bicycle from a residence on Church Street, Winchester, North Dundas Township. The bicycle had been stolen from outside of the residence weeks prior to it being located by police.

The investigation revealed that a 20yr old male from Morewood, North Dundas Township, Ontario (Jessie QUESNEL), had stolen the bicycle and broken it down into various bits and pieces. Further to the investigation, officers learned that the male was also responsible for previous thefts in Winchester – a theft from a laundrymat on 05Oct13 and a theft from another laundrymat on 20Oct13.

The male was arrested and faces charges of:

– Theft under $5000 x 3
– Mischief under $5000 x 3

He is scheduled to appear in Morrisburg Criminal Court 4Feb14.

The bicycle was broken down into so many pieces it was beyond repair. The Morrisburg Canadian Tire graciously donated a brand new bicycle to the 11yr old boy 23Dec13 (See attached photos).
