Nickolas KIRBY – Drunk Driving

(BRUCE MINES, ON) – On July 17, 2016 at 8:38 p.m., the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was advised of a motor vehicle in the ditch on Highway 638 North of Bruce Mines, Ontario. Police located the driver walking in the adjacent field.

While speaking with the driver, the police determined that the male driver had been consuming alcoholic beverages.

As a result of the investigation, Nickolas KIRBY, 36 years of age, from Plummer Additional Township, Ontario, was arrested and charged with:

Driving While Ability Impaired – Motor Vehicle (Alcohol), contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code;

Driving with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood, contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code;

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River, on August 18, 2016.
