(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment has charged a 35-year-old male after police investigated an incident at a Charlotteville Road 8, Charlotteville, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at approximately 4:18 p.m., officers along with an Emergency Response Team member (ERT) attended an address for a male that had forcibly entered a residence.
Through the course of investigation, it was determined that an unknown naked male, attended the address and forcibly gained entry in to the residence. Once inside, the male was confronted by the homeowners. The unknown male then fled into the basement and upon returning to the main level of the home, it was discovered that he had located a weapon. The residents fled from the home and contacted police.
As a result of investigation, police entered the residence and took the male into custody without further incident. It was discovered that the male had previously attended the Silver Hill Community Cemetery and forcibly gained entry into gardening shed.
Police have charged 35-year-old Mitchel Joseph GEE of Norfolk County, Ontario with unlawfully in a dwelling house, three (3) counts of mischief under $5000 and failing to comply with probation order.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
