On the 12th of January 2014 at 12:50am, a 20 year old Cambridge female travelling southbound on Hespeler Rd struck a northbound City of Cambridge snow plow that was turning left onto Isherwood Av. The plow driver did not sustain injuries, however the driver and 22 year old female passenger of the southbound vehicle were both transported to hospital with non life threatening injuries. Hespeler Rd was closed for southbound traffic from Canamera Pkwy to Isherwood Av for approximately 3 hours. Speed and alcohol are both considered to be factors in this collision. Charges are pending. Police continue to investigate and ask any witnesses to contact the Traffic Services Branch of the Waterloo Regional Police.
