MULTI VEHICLE COLLISION LEADS TO CRIMINAL CHARGES

(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TWP, ON) – On Thursday October 24, 2013 at approximately 4:30 pm, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called to a multi vehicle (4) collision on Wellington County Road 124, near Wellington County Road 32 South, Guelph-Eramosa Township. The male driver of a Honda Ridgeline was eastbound and collided with the rear end of a motor vehicle causing two other vehicles to become involved. The driver of the Honda left the scene and was located by police a short distance away.

A pregnant driver was taken by Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to Guelph General Hospital with unknown injuries.

Mark JOHNSON age 52 of Kitchener is charged with Dangerous Driving, Fail to Comply with a Recognizance x 3, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is also charged with Fail to Remain contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Bail Court on October 25, 2013.
