Motorcyclist Hit By Mattress

(Rockland, ON) On August 23, 2013 OPP Constable Bruce Quevillon responded to a motor vehicle collision on County Road 17 in Rockland. At that location a motorcyclist was travelling on the highway when he was hit by a mattress that fell from a UHAUL truck that was travelling in the opposite direction. The motorcyclist lost control of his bike and was slightly injured. He was transported to Montfort Hospital for precautionary measures. The driver of the UHAUL truck stopped but left as soon as he noticed that someone was injured. The officer investigated the collision and was able to identify the driver of the truck but was unable to locate him. An arrest warrant will be issued for the male who cannot be named at this moment. The driver will be charged with the following offence:
