(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) – On Saturday July 04, 2015 at around quarter to one in the afternoon a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a fast moving motorcycle travelling west bound on Perth Line 20 east of Fullarton. The officer activated the police radar and locked the motorcycle’s speed on the police radar at 138 km/h in a posted 80 km/h speed zone.
Nikita TARAKANOV (25) of Mississauga was pulled over and was issued a summons for “race a motor vehicle”, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
He is to appear at Stratford Court on August 11, 2015 to answer to this charge. His driver’s licence was suspended for seven days. In addition, his TRIUMPH Street Triple 6 motorcycle was towed from the scene and was impounded for a week.
