(NORWICH TOWNSHIP, ON.) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a motorcycle travelling at a high rate of speed on Cornell Road near Zenda Line just after 5:00 p.m. on April 9, 2014.
The motorcycle was alleged to have been travelling 178 kilometers an hour in a posted 80 kilometer an hour zone. A traffic stop was conducted and OPP spoke to the male driver and his passenger.
Timothy HARVEY, 48 years old, from Tillsonburg has been charged with the following:
Race a Motor Vehicle – contrary to The Highway Traffic Act
No Insurance – contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.
The vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days. The driver also had his licence suspended for 7 days.
