(NEMI TOWNSHIP, ON) – On Sunday September 28, 2014 at 7:31 pm the Manitoulin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were advised of a single motorcycle collision on Burnett’s Side Road just south of Green Bush Road in NEMI Township. A couple had come along the road to find a male with serious injuries as a result of a motorcycle collision. Police along with Ambulance and the NEMI Volunteer Fire Department were called to the scene. Upon arrival police located a 33 year old male with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. He was transported to the Health Centre in Little Current and then transferred to Sudbury.
Police established the motorcycle was northbound at unknown speed on Burnett’s Side Road when it lost control. As a result of the investigation the driver of the motorcycle has been charged with Drive under Suspension, No Insurance and No plates on Vehicle all under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
