(Otonabee-South Monaghan Twp., ON) – On Monday August 26, 2013 at approximately 3:30 p.m. Peterborough County OPP were called to respond to a motor-vehicle collision that occurred on the North Monaghan Parkway.
OPP are investigating a two motor vehicle collision that occurred between a Transport Truck and a Pick up truck travelling on the North Monaghan Parkway. Otonabee South Monaghan Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services attended the scene with police.
The collision resulted in one driver being removed by medical services to Peterborough Regional Health Centre with minor injuries. As a result of the collision a large quantity of Fuel was spilt on the roadway.
Ministry of the Environment attended the scene to assist in the containment of the fuel.
Investigation continues and no charges have been laid at this time.
The North Monaghan Parkway remains closed at this time as the clean-up continues.
