MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION ON HWY. 10

(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) Hwy. 10 between Road 140 and Road 132 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands is expected to remain closed for at least two hours while the Grey County OPP and the OPP West Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigating Unit continue to investigate a two vehicle collision which occurred at approximately 11:51 today.

A 2006 Honda and a 2013 Jeep were travelling northbound on Hwy. 10. Both vehicles passed a vehicle. The Honda then attempted to pass the Jeep, which was in the process of passing another vehicle. The two vehicles made contact. The driver of the Honda lost control of the vehicle and went into the west ditch.

The driver of the Honda, a 17 year old male, was air lifted to St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto with serious injuries. A 15 year old female passenger was air lifted to Victoria Hospital in London. A 16 year old male passenger was taken to Markdale Hospital. Their injuries are considered to be serious but non-life threatening.

The driver of the Jeep, a 17 year old male, and two male passengers, ages 16-17, were not injured.
