(NORTH BAY, ON) – On October 3, 2013, at approximately 7:41 a.m., officers with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) North Bay Detachment responded to a collision involving a school bus on Highway 17, in front of Arnstein Industrial, in the city of North Bay.
A school bus was travelling westbound when an eastbound vehicle turned left, into the path of the school bus causing a collision. A secondary collision occurred when the school bus then struck the rear of another vehicle. There were no students aboard the bus. As a result, the school bus driver sustained minor injuries.
One lane of traffic was closed for a short period of time.
Joshua BELL, age 36, of North Bay was charged with Turn left – across path of approaching vehicle contrary to section 141(5) of the Highway Traffic Act.
