MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION INVOLVING PEDESTRIAN

(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH)- On July 10, 2014 at 11:00am, the Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Victoria and Church Street in the Town of New Tecumseth.

The collision occurred between a Honda Civic and a motorized scooter. The motorized scooter was travelling eastbound on Victoria Street and turned onto Church Street, the Honda was turning from Victoria onto Church Street and contact was made between the two.

The 28 year old operator of the scooter was taken to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Charged is 91 year old Town of New Tecumseth resident, she is charged with Fail to Yield to a Pedestrian under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
