(Augusta Township) On Sunday September 1, 2013 approximately 6:54 pm members of the Grenville County OPP, Prescott Detachment responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Kyle Rd. and Branch Rd. in Augusta Township.
An ambulance traveling northbound on Kyle Rd. had entered the intersection at Branch Rd. and was struck by a Chevy Pickup traveling eastbound on Branch Rd. The ambulance which was responding to a call had no patient at the time.
The driver and passenger in the pickup were both taken to the hospital for medical treatment as were both ambulance attendants.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 21 year old male from Augusta Twp. has been charged with impaired driving and exceed .08. He is to appear in Brockville Court at a later date.
Further charges are pending in relation to the matter.
Investigation is continuing.
