Yesterday afternoon, emergency crews responded to a collision on McNaughton Line in Chatham Township.
A 45-year-old man was travelling south on Caledonia Road when he tried to stop for the railway crossing. The man was unable to stop his truck and collided with a passing train. The man was not injured. Total damage was estimated at $25,000.
The man was charged with disobeying a railway crossing signal.
